If I let my 2006 CTS sit for more than 6 days in my garage the car will not start. What is the normal current drain on the car battery while the car sit idle.
I am in the process of monitoring the battery current by using a clamp on current meter and data logger which logs the drain current and battery voltage every 10 seconds.
I started logging data Jan. 17. The goal is to stop Jan. 24
Here is my preliminary data.
a) 14.1 volts while car is running
b) Once car is off, the voltage drops to 12.6
c) 4 days later... the battery voltage is 11.9
