Regarding current draw, I have a 2003, after 10 min. and the options turn off, there is a 15ma. ( .015 amp) draw. the car can sit for a week or more and start ok.

On some with remote start can be more! Like maybe at 30ma. With boomerang can be more too. Do a drain test and check how much ''milliamp'' you loose and if its too much, you will need to find the source of your drain! Have you install jobber accessory on your car?

OnStar draws various amounts of current depending on its status. It drops out completely after a couple of days.
