does the "well" accommodate a full-size or a mini spare? a steel rim is easy to source - the stupid smaller doughnut is stupid expensive and oddly hard to get (ask me how i know)

 

How do you know 🤣 I will check out the well but i doubt it can fit a full tire.

 

I purchased a 17" CTS rim on eBay for $80 and mounted the best remaining run flat from my original set. I added two lanyards on the sides of the trunk to anchor the spare with a bungee. Added a good scissors jack and any thing I could think of to change a tire which fit in the foam well under the trunk floor. Still have room for stuff.

It fit my'18 PL with front Brembos with no problem as the test fit picture shows, I never had to use it........

 

Check out EZ Spare or Wolf Auto. I bought a spare from Wolf for my RS6 Avant and they had great service

There were a few for sale on the classifieds section of this forum. This is a well worn topic, many posts if you care to search. I fit my Modernspare in the well but some tricks needed. Pictures in other posts.
