following up on my other thread with this issue. This was on my black car previously. Had the hood pop open doing tripple digit speeds.
Not fun the first time,
Second time around I'm just pissed.
to be clear; this is completely different car.
same circumstances, and I had my friend with me this time.
No idea what the hell is happening. I thinking maybe it's the way I'm closing the hood? I'm not slamming it , I typically gently close the hood down so it'll catch and using pressure to get it to click, the way you're supposed to do it for fragile aluminum hoods.
Clearly though, something's wrong, and 2 cars in a row is either incredibly bad luck or a person failure.
Then again though, isn't closed closed? I can exert quite a bit of force when doing a soft close and it won't budge.
Both cars had their front-fascias taken off to do the grill, but I know for a fact I've replaced every rivet and popped every plastic piece back in it's place (it's actually one of the easiest front-bumpers I've taken off)
thoughts? I guess if it matters I do have the hood open quite a bit, but then again you're 'supposed' to be checking fluids every fill up (as per the owners manual)
When I slammed the hood down, I did a few more runs and did not experience the 'issue', but then again, I've *always* closed the hood this way, and I've definitely gone faster than when it happened this time.
