Before I brought it in, I spoke to the service rep about the "whine." Claimed he never heard of the problem before. So I printed out about 20 pages of documented cases from cadillacforums.com--and told them I could print another 100 pages or so.
Apparently just about everybody in the shop got involved. The command decision was that they're going to order me a near rear end.
BTW, I have TPIS headers and clear flow cats, as well as the More CAI and the complete BMR package. No problem with warranty. In fact, the service manager said: "This work was very well done." (Work was done by CarTek.) He did say that I'd still have noise even with the new rear end because of the BMR stuff. But I think I'll be able to live with it. |

I think Cadillac needs to start reading this forum and start doing something about the problem, including letting the dealerships know about this problem. Cadillac would truly have a "great" car if they made the diff handle the power! Car and Driver had the same complaint, do they need anymor hints. |

So my service MNGR drove other Vs & he could deffinatly hear the differance.
So he checked in to see what cadillac says is the right way to fix this problem. So it turns out that they have to replace the rings & some other internal things inside the diff.Once that was determined,It was obviose that a whole new rear end was in order.
Thats just what my SERVICE MNGR done
So i think anyone with the whine should go directly to there service mngr & tell them about this bulletin
